Inviting the grandeur of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains inside while projecting a welcoming glow to the outside this was Judith’s vision for her clients’ mountain retreat. The interior lighting, textures and colour palette reflect the spectacular outdoors.

At night, the central stairwell is illuminated with LED lights on every second tread to give a glowing impression of openness. Indirect zenon lighting along the kitchen side-walls brings out a subtle warm glow from the steeply sloped ceiling. Lighting creates the space without calling attention to fixtures or hardware. Kitchen and billiard room cabinets are illuminated from within to create a sense of soft transparency.

Judith strives to create a unified, elegant impression, but she also stresses functionality. This floor plan has a circular flow, perfect for entertaining and family gatherings. Task lighting and ergonomic details in the kitchen make it a joy for host and visitor alike. Furniture textiles and surfaces are soothing yet practical.

Imagine the difference!
